It features an eightfold geometric design on the top. The doorknob is drum shaped with decorative beveling on the edge. The knob measures 2 1 4" in diameter. Unlike many knobs made by Schroder, this one attaches to a standard square non threaded shaft. It has a nice dark patina. This Schroder 1890 Doorknob is an antique item
